Safe Zone - The program that ensures certain areas on campus are safe for any person, regardless their color, race, gender, sexual preference, etc. Safewatch - Patterned after the “Neighborhood Watch” program, SafeWatch promotes understanding of university policies related to harassment, discrimination or similar behaviors and provides a way to report violations of policies and community expectations that promote an inclusive campus environment. Career Services for LGBT Students - This is the section of VT Career Services that aims to help LGBT Students. LGBT Caucus at VA Tech - "...committed to advancing equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people and their families. The caucus seeks to improve the lives of LGBT individuals both at the University and in the New River Valley community through educational programming, social activities, public service, and outreach." Women's Center - Provides individual services, counseling, and advocacy. There are also numerous educational programs and other resources about sexual assault, violence against women, etc. Cook Counseling Center - Thomas E. Cook Counseling Center provides individual counseling and group counseling for enrolled undergraduate and graduate students at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Consultation and outreach services are provided for Virginia Tech faculty, staff, and student organizations. Office of Multicultural Affairs - Identify and assess the different diversity characteristics or features within the Virginia Tech campus community. Multicultural Programs and Services at VT - Our organization is housed by the MPS and is also the location for the weekly meetings. MPS also advises other cultural student organizations, such as BSA, LASO, AASU, BOC.

Unitarian Universalist Congregation of New River Valley - "As a UU congregation we are committed to 'the inherent worth and dignity of every individual'- our First Principle. As members of society we know that gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning individuals are often unwelcome in other churches." Gender Education and Advocacy - Useful site; a national organization focused on the needs, issues and concerns of gender variant people in human society. About.com: Gay Life - Great site that has tips for dating, help with coming out of the closet, HIV/AIDS, celebrity gays, and much, much more. The HRC - "The Human Rights Campaign is America?s largest civil rights organization working to achieve gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender equality. By inspiring and engaging all Americans, HRC strives to end discrimination against GLBT citizens and realize a nation that achieves fundamental fairness and equality for all." Equality Virginia - "Equality Virginia is a statewide, non-partisan lobbying, education and support network for the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and straight allied (GLBT) communities in Virginia."
